She loves television and lives for Final Fantasy video games, having collected most of them. A to Z Challenge: Quezacotl from Final Fantasy VIII

Happy Hump Day!

The A to Z Challenge is heading down the hill, and it's been fun. We still have some letters to go, however, and my letters are dedicated to the people and creatures of Final Fantasy. Today's letter Q brings me to none other than Final Fantasy VIII for the Guardian Force Quezacotl.

After seeing the old man Ramuh for 5 games straight, this beautiful bird was a shock (no pun intended), but look at the design. I usually paired Quezacotl up with Zell because of his electric (still, no pun intended) personality. Quezacotl also taught its user the Mug ability, which was easier to use with Zell because he fought with his hands.

I don't really have much to say about Quezacotl. lol

Honorable Mention for Q:

Final Fantasy VIII gave us Quistis, an 18-year-old instructor who was apparently bad at it, because she gets fired. She tries to protect our MC Squall and get him to emote and talk to his friends more, but nothing doing. She joins us on the quest to defeat the sorceress, and if you play, you must acquire her limit break The End. Instant death to your enemies (Unless it's the final boss, but even then, it makes the battle breeze on by)!

Tomorrow, R is for a plethora of characters because there are so many.

A to Z Challenge: Writing Colors - Quartz Grey

Cheers to the Weekend, A to Z Challengers!

This is the end of week three! Can you believe it? Anyway, this year, I am providing different colors for descriptive purposes in writing using the website Color-ize to look at an alphabetical list of colors that we can use instead of using the same basic colors we know off the top of our heads. One color can come in so many shades; why not take a look at them?

Today's color is: Quartz Grey.

Grains not included. Grey is a multi-faceted color. It's one of the colors where if you say grey, everyone has their own shade of it in their mind. I feel like this is usually one of two shades that I think of. It's a dark grey, one that I like more than other shades of grey, actually (I held back on a cheesy 50 Shades reference. You're welcome). Quartz itself is a beautiful mineral, but it's actually pretty clear, so I guess the color name creators just felt that this would be the color of quartz on a 2D setting...Ah well.

Q is for Quail Man!

Today's letter is Q, and I thought of one of the most beloved and admired characters of my childhood: Doug.

For those who didn't grow up on 90s Nickelodeon, Doug was your average Joe who had a cool blue best friend who honked for some reason, had a crush on a very tan gal whose last name was Mayonnaise, and who also wrote his own comic called Quail Man.

Quail Man was a superhero who had on Doug's green sweater vest, but his belt was wrapped around his head to match that of a quail feather, and he wore his underwear over his khakis. He also had a cape. The only story I remember of Quail Man was the time he saved the world to the point that there was now an 8th day of the week where everyone could just party. I still wish for that often.
